Wisconsin passed another grim milestone for the pandemic Wednesday. Five more deaths gave the state 7,003 total deaths since the COVID-19 health crisis began. Fifty-seven of the state’s 72 counties reported new cases of the coronavirus, which came to 330 new cases or 9.1 percent of the 3,594 test results that came back. The Department of Health Services also reported 46 more hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 225 COVID patients in the state’s 136 hospitals and 75 of them are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 8 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Six new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 7 new cases. Green Lake County had 1 new case and Marquette County had 2 new cases. Waupaca County recorded 2 new cases and Waushara County had 8 new cases.
