Pecatonica Area Schools District Administrator Jill Underly (pictured) won the State Superintendent of Schools race Tuesday defeating former Brown Deer School District Superintendent Deborah Kerr. Underly got more than 525,000 votes and Kerr over 386,000 votes.
In the race for Court of Appeals Judge for District 2 Shelley Grogan defeated Jeffrey Davis by more than 31,000 votes.
The seat that former State Senator Scott Fitzgerald left when he won a Congressional seat was up for election. The 13th State Senate District will continue to be represented by a Republican with John Jagler defeating Democrat Melissa Winker and two independent candidates.
