Robbery And Pursuit In FDL County

A 60-year-old Milwaukee man is in custody following a robbery and vehicle chase in Fond du Lac County Tuesday night. The man allegedly took cash from a cash register at the Walmart store in Fond du Lac then fled south in a vehicle from the business. Fond du Lac Police officers terminated their pursuit, but state troopers and county Sheriff’s deputies picked it up on Interstate 41 near Lost Arrow Road. Eventually the suspect’s vehicle was disabled after stop sticks were deployed damaging the vehicle’s tires. He was taken into custody without incident in the area of I-41 and County Highway Y. He is facing a felony eluding charge and likely to face robbery charges when Fond du Lac Police conclude their investigation. No one was harmed during the pursuit which lasted 6 miles.
