FDL Man Gets Nearly 80 Years In Prison For Drug Related Shooting

30 April 2021 News

A 33-year-old Fond du Lac man has been sentenced to 79 years and 5 months in prison and 63 years of extended supervision for the shooting of two people at a Fond du Lac apartment building.  Delaney Watt was sentenced Thursday in Fond du Lac County court on charges stemming from a drug-related beef he had with a tenant at an apartment at 130 Forest Avenue in Fond du Lac in September of 2018. He was firing a handgun at that man when he shot a 17-year-old girl and 26-year-old man. The girl was shot in the back and the man was left paralyzed as a result of the shooting. District Attorney Eric Toney says, “I applaud the Court for this sentence which, should serve as a strong message for anyone seeking to engage in drug dealing and violent crime in our communities.”
