COVID 19 Report Wednesday

The Department of Health Services Wednesday reported 34 more deaths from COVID-19 the most since February 19th. That also pushed the death toll from the coronavirus in the state to more than 6,800 with 6,807 deaths. State health officials also reported 688 new cases of the virus or 13.4 percent of the 5,123 test results that came back. Seventy-nine more people were hospitalized with COVID. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says there are 342 patients in the state’s 136 hospitals being treated for the virus and 107 of them are in intensive care units.

Winnebago County reported 25 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and 1 death. Fond du Lac County recorded 12 new cases and Dodge County had 8 new cases.  Four new cases were reported in Green Lake County and 2 new cases in Marquette County.  Waupaca County had 1 new case and Waushara County had no new cases.
