The state’s Department of Health Services says Wisconsin will pass another milestone in vaccinating residents for the COVID-19 virus today when it surpasses more than 2 million who have received at least one “shot in the arm.” Of that 1.2 million will have completed the needed shots for vaccination. Meanwhile the DHS reported yesterday 727 new cases of the coronavirus or 14 percent of the 5,148 test results that came back. The state also reported 5 more deaths putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 6,653 lives.
Winnebago County reported 16 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Nine new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 10 new cases. Green Lake County had no new cases and Marquette County had 4 new cases. Waupaca and Waushara counties both reported 3 new cases of the coronavirus yesterday.
