State health officials saw an increase in new COVID-19 cases and deaths Tuesday. The 922 new cases were nearly 24 percent of the 3,885 test results that came back. The state also reported 10 more deaths to put the death toll since the pandemic began at 6,690 lives. Seventy people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 317 people are currently hospitalized with the coronavirus and 76 patients are in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 39 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 16 new cases and Dodge County had 10 new cases. Three new cases were reported in Green Lake County and Marquette County had 1 new case. No new cases were reported in Waupaca County and Waushara County had 3 new cases.
