Sturgeon Season Final Day

The 2021 Sturgeon Spearing season came to a close Sunday with 50 fish harvested on Lake Winnebago. Many spearers had already pulled their shacks for the season resulting in minimal spearing effort around the lake during the final day. The largest fish harvested on Lake Winnebago was a 135.8 pound fish measuring 75.3 inches in length taken by Kevin Ward. Overall during the season, 77 harvested fish weighed over 100 pounds. The Lake Winnebago harvest during the season accounted for 1,467 fish with 1,831 harvested on the Winnebago System.
