High Speed Chase In FDL And Calumet Counties

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the driver of a vehicle that fled from a traffic stop in the county with the pursuit extending into Calumet County. It happened early Sunday morning when a deputy tried to pull over a vehicle for an equipment violation on Weber Road at Washington Street in the Town of Calumet. The driver fled at a high rate of speed continuing north on Washington Street into a farmyard abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. A search of the buildings on the property with the use of a K9 didn’t turn up the suspect. There were no injuries or property damage during the pursuit, which began with the attempted traffic stop just before 3 am.
