Fire Reported At Alliance Laundry Systems

Update:

Officials with Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon say a fire in an air compressor unit caused the smoke that led to a fire call at the company Wednesday night. The fire was contained to the unit and was quickly brought under control. No one was injured during the incident. In addition to the Ripon Area Fire District fire departments from Brandon-Fairwater, Fond du Lac, Markesan and Princeton, and Ripon Guardian Ambulance responded to the scene. The time of the fire call was about 9 pm Wednesday evening.

Firefighters from the Ripon Area Fire District responded to Alliance Laundry Systems last night for a report of a working fire with a lot of smoke. Fire crews arrived at the company at Lyon and Vermont Streets shortly after 9 pm. A call was put out for mutual aid and among area fire departments that responded were Brandon-Fairwater, Fond du Lac, Markesan and Princeton, and Ripon Guardian Ambulance. Most of those other departments had left the scene before 10 pm. We will update this story as more details become available.
