Wisconsin saw a lower positivity rate for new COVID-19 cases Wednesday as more test results came back. According to the state’s Department of Health Services 516 people tested positive for virus, which comes to about 11 percent of the 4,701 test results that came back. The overall positivity rate for all test results including those who have been tested multiple times is at 2.1 percent. The state also reported 14 more deaths bringing the death toll to 6,524 people. Seventy-six more people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports a total of 234 COVID-19 patients in state hospitals with 63 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County saw an increase in COVID-19 cases Wednesday with 28 new cases. Fond du Lac County reported 5 new cases and Dodge County 8 new cases. Two new cases were reported in Green Lake County and no new cases in Marquette County. Waupaca County recorded 7 new cases and Waushara County 8 new cases.
