Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services Wednesday reported over 1.5 million people in the state have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. It took 80 days to reach that milestone. As for new cases 539 were reported yesterday or 14 percent of the 3,826 test results that were returned. Eighteen more deaths were also reported putting the death toll at 6,458 since the pandemic began. Fifty-seven people were hospitalized with the virus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 267 COVID-19 patients in state hospitals with 69 in intensive care units.

Eleven new COVID-19 cases were reported in Winnebago County Wednesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 7 new cases and Dodge County had 12 new cases. No new cases were reported in Green Lake, Marquette, Waupaca and Waushara counties.
