After two days with no deaths from COVID-19 the state reported 28 deaths Tuesday. That puts the death toll since the first deaths last March at 6,440 people. The state also reported 324 new cases or 13.4 percent of the 2,414 test results that came back. Meanwhile the number of people who have completed their 2-dose regimen of vaccine surpassed 500,000 and stands at 505,123 people. Sixty-four people were hospitalized with the coronavirus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says the total number of COVID hospitalizations was at 271 people Tuesday with 71 patients in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 3 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 23 new cases and Dodge County had 13 cases. No new cases were reported in either Green Lake or Marquette counties. Waupaca County had no new cases to report and the Waushara County Health Department had 1.
