The state’s Department of Health Services says just over 25 percent of the state’s residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. That works out to more than 1.4 million people and nearly 856,000 or 14 percent of the population have completed their series of shots. As for new cases 420 were reported Sunday or 9.4 percent of the 4,448 latest test results. No new deaths were reported keeping the death toll at 6,576 people. Thirty people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says the total number of COVID patients in state hospitals Sunday was 193 with 57 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 3 new COVID-19 cases Sunday. No new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 2 new cases. Green Lake County had 1 new case and Marquette County had none. Waupaca County had 5 new cases and Waushara County had 1.
