For the second straight day Wisconsin reported no deaths from COVID-19 and the 308 people that tested positive were the fewest since August 31st.  The death toll for the virus remained at 6,412 people for a third straight day. The new cases on Monday were 9.8 percent of the 3,134 test results that came back. Meanwhile the state’s Department of Health Services says 492,074 people have now received both doses of vaccine, which is roughly 8.5 percent of the state’s population. Thirty-one people were hospitalized with the coronavirus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 287 people are hospitalized with COVID and 73 patients are in intensive care units.

Winnebago County reported 14 new COVID-19 cases Monday. Fond du Lac County has had 16 new cases since last Friday and during that same time frame Dodge County has recorded 20 new cases. No new cases were reported in either Green Lake or Marquette counties. Waupaca County reported 11 new cases and the Waushara County Health Department had no new cases to report.
