Barn Fire In Waupun

Fire destroyed two outbuildings and damaged a third in rural Waupun early Monday morning. Waupun Fire Chief B.J. DeMaa says no one was hurt during the blaze and the fire is not considered suspicious but is still under investigation. A passerby noticed a building on fire at N10533 Highway 151 at 1:31 am and called it in. A storage shed used to store round hay bales and garage were destroyed by the fire and a pole shed used to house farm and personal equipment sustained minor damage due to fire and heat from the other structures. Nine other fire departments assisted in battling the blaze. The property is owned by Larry and Karen Hopp.
