Ripon Common Council Approves Dispatch Agreement With FDL County

The Ripon Common Council last night unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding between Fond du Lac County and the City of Ripon concerning the transfer of dispatch responsibilities for the city to the county. Last month the Council voted 6 to 2 to join county dispatch. The memorandum of understanding formalized the agreement. Fond du Lac County’s Finance Committee Wednesday will consider approving the agreement with the city and if it does will recommend the full county board do the same. The Ripon Common Council Monday night also unanimously approved a resolution declaring the Haas Brewery Stable as surplus property, which will allow the city to try and sell the property to someone interested in preserving it on its current site.
