During an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Packers center Corey Linsley said he hasn’t had any talks with the Packers and expects to be playing for a different team in 2021.

“We’re not closing the door for anything,” Linsley said. “Obviously we’d never do that for any team, especially the Packers, but yeah it definitely feels weird. It looks like all signs are pointing towards snapping the ball somewhere else next year.”

Linsley has been with the Packers for the past seven seasons, starting in 99 games. He made his first All-Pro team in 2020. NFL Free Agency officially begins March 17.

The Milwaukee Bucks held on at home last night for their fourth straight victory, a 129-125 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.  Giannis Anetokounmpo led Milwaukee with 38 points, Khris Middleton added 31 and Donte Divincenzo chipped in with 24.   Zion Williamson led New Orleans with 34 and Lonzo Bell scored 20.  The Bucks are in third place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game behind Brooklyn and two games behind Philadelphia.  The Pelicans slipped to 14-18 in the Western Conference.  The Bucks are off until Sunday when they resume their home-stand against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Milwaukee Brewers open their spring training schedule on Sunday when they play the Chicago White Sox.  First pitch is at 2:05 CDT and the game can be heard on AM 1600/93. 1FM, WRPN.

The Brewers on Thursday announced a spring broadcast schedule headlined by 18 radio broadcasts as Bob Uecker celebrates his 50th anniversary of the voice of his hometown team. Besides the radio broadcasts, 12 games are scheduled for television and five will air exclusively on brewers.com via webcast, with a combination of the team’s broadcasters calling the action.

Spearers on Lake Winnebago registered 27 sturgeon on Thursday, the second-lowest harvest of the season. Only Monday’s harvest was lower. Despite the low haul, Thursday’s harvest included a whopper: A 137-pound, 80.9-inch female registered at Grundman Lane. Lake Winnebago has provided 58 of the 69 sturgeon weighing over 100 pounds since the season began. Over 13 days, spearers have taken in 1,688 sturgeon, including 1,324 on Lake Winnebago. The lake can still give up 87 juvenile females, 174 adult females, or 359 males before reaching 90% of the harvest cap. The cap on upriver lakes was reached last week, ending the spearing season there last Saturday.  People are noticing fewer shanties and fewer spearers out on Lake Winnebago, but the DNR expects spearing activity to pick up this weekend before the season ends on Sunday.
