State health officials say there were 25 more deaths from COVID-19 Wednesday and 747 new cases of the virus. The deaths bring the death toll to 6,342 and the new cases were 14 percent of the 5,264 test results that came back. The state’s 7-day average for new cases rose from 605 on Tuesday to 617 yesterday. Fifty-five more people were hospitalized with the virus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 355 people are currently hospitalized with the coronavirus with 93 patients in ICU.
Winnebago County reported 22 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Seven new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 8 new cases. Two new cases were reported in Green Lake County and no new cases in Marquette County. Waupaca and Waushara counties both reported 5 new cases each of the coronavirus yesterday.
