There was an increase in new COVID-19 cases Thursday, but for 7 days now Wisconsin has seen fewer than 1,000 new cases in a single day. Department of Health Services officials reported 733 new cases or 13.2 percent of the 5,547 test results that came back. Eighteen more deaths were also reported brining that toll since the outbreak began in the state to 6,232 people. Fifty-eight more people were hospitalized with the coronavirus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 385 people are hospitalized with the virus and 107 of those patients are in ICU. It’s the second time in a week that hospitalizations were below 400 COVID patients.

Winnebago County reported 18 new COVID-19 cases yesterday. Fond du Lac County also recorded 18 new cases and Dodge County had 4 new cases. Two new cases were reported in Green Lake County and 1 in Marquette County. No new cases were recorded in Waupaca County and the Waushara County Health Department reported 1.
