COVID 19 Report Thursday

For the first time since last Friday state health officials reported more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. The 1,239 positive test results out of 7,144 that were returned were 17.3 percent of those tests. For the fifth straight day the positivity rate was below 20 percent. The state also reported 11 more deaths putting the death toll during the pandemic at 6,140 people. Fifty-two people were hospitalized with the coronavirus. The Wisconsin Hospital Associated reports 489 COVID patients in the state’s hospitals with 129 in intensive care units.

Winnebago County reported 44 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Fond du Lac County recorded two more deaths and 17 new cases while Dodge County had 18 new cases. Two new cases were reported in Green Lake County and 1 in Marquette County.  Waupaca County had 6 new cases and the Waushara County Health Department had 4 new cases.
