Waupun Memorial Hospital Virtual Raffle

The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation is hosting a raffle with virtual drawing on Wednesday, February 17 at noon. The drawing will be shown live on Agnesian HealthCare’s Facebook page.
“This year, we are excited to host a raffle that will be held virtually in place of our Chocolate & Wine event,” says DeAnn Thurmer, president, Ripon Medical Center and Waupun Memorial Hospital. “As the lone fund-raiser for Waupun Memorial Hospital, we are hopeful this will garner the same level of support as previous year’s events.”
Proceeds will support the purchase of an ultrasound device that offers a quicker and less invasive way to insert an IV placement, and as a result, will help our providers on the delivery of care.
“The evidence-based ultrasound-guided short IV insertion method has been established as effective when caring for patients with difficult vein access,” according to Diane Posthuma, director of Outpatient Services at Waupun Memorial Hospital. “The success rate is high, and the added advantages of improved accuracy and more timely insertion increase patient safety and satisfaction.”
The enhanced technology will also allow for more staff to offer this service. “We know that between the new device and increased accessibility that patients with difficult or hard to find veins will receive an enhanced experience with their IV placements,” Posthuma says.
Tickets are $10 each or $40 for five. Prizes include:
