Town Of Ashford Garage Fire

Fireworks may have contributed to a fire that destroyed a garage in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Ashford late New Year’s Eve. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Sergeant Paul Metzger says the occupants of a home at W4612 Sterling Court, Brian and Theresa Thoma, were able to get out safely reporting their attached garage was on fire. The garage and it contents, including vehicles, were a total loss. A shared wall inside the residence was the only damage in the home. Six fire departments responded to the blaze that was reported at 11:42 pm Thursday night.
