House Fire In NFDL

Firefighters in North Fond du Lac responded to a report of a fire inside a residence in the area of Thurke and Broadway early Sunday morning. Fire crews encountered smoke visible on the exterior of the residence when they arrived. Within 20 minutes they had the blaze, which was in the kitchen area under control. The lone occupant of the home escaped without injury. There was extensive fire damage in the kitchen and heat and smoke damage throughout the structure. The time of the fire call was 1:38 am.
