Green Lake County Fatal Traffic Accident

The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, State Patrol, and Green Lake County Coroner are investigating the death of a pedestrian that was struck by a semi Wednesday. The Sheriff’s Communication Center got a call shortly before 2 pm about a crash involving a semi and pedestrian. It happened on County Highway K near Craig Road in the Town of Brooklyn. The victim was taken by an ambulance to a landing zone and flown by UW Medflight helicopter to the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center. The victim died there. A preliminary investigation found the victim exited a vehicle and went into the path of the semi. The truck driver wasn’t injured. It was Green Lake County’s first fatal traffic accident of the year.
