First Fatal Accident Of The Year In Waushara County

Both drivers in a two-vehicle head-on crash on State Highway 21 in Waushara County Saturday evening were killed and a passenger in one of the vehicles was flown to the UW-Hospital in Madison. Sheriff Wally Zuehlke says the crash happened just east of County Road V and occurred when an eastbound vehicle passing a semi struck a westbound vehicle. Both drivers died at the scene of the crash. A passenger in the westbound vehicle was flown to the UW-Hospital. The two traffic deaths are the first of the New Year for the county. The accident was reported by multiple 9-1-1 callers at 5:48 Saturday evening.
