Dryer Fire In The Town Of Ripon

Fire departments from Ripon, Markesan and Princeton responded to a dryer fire at the Brian and Michelle Hiemstra residence at N8650 Cliff View Drive in the Town of Ripon New Year’s Day morning. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say the fire was restricted to an area around the dryer in the basement of the home and was extinguished by fire personnel. Due to the damage from the fire, water and smoke the residents are being assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries were reported. The origin of the fire was the dryer vent and the fire isn’t considered suspicious. The time of the fire call was 9:06 am Friday morning. (Photo from Bruce Link)
