Dodge County Experiences Its First Fatal Traffic Accident Of The Year

A teenager died after his Chevy Impala was involved in a crash with a straight truck Tuesday morning on State Highway 73 in Dodge County’s Town of Calamus. The Impala was negotiating a curve to the left and the 2016 Kenworth a curve to the right when the Chevy went into a counter-clockwise spin. It went over the centerline into the northbound lane where the two vehicles collided. The 17-year-old driving the Chevy, and only occupant of the vehicle, was taken to the U-W Hospital in Madison and died there. The driver of the Kenworth was not injured. The crash is still under investigation. It happened two-tenths of a mile north of County Highway D. It was Dodge County’s first fatal traffic accident of the year.
