State health officials reported another 50 deaths from COVID-19 Wednesday raising the death toll from the pandemic to 5,562 people. That also raised the 7-day average from 43 to 45 deaths a day. Meanwhile 1,522 new cases were reported or 23 percent of the 6,645 latest test results that came back. The Department of Health Services also reported 119 hospitalizations and the Wisconsin Hospital Association yesterday reported 834 coronavirus patients in hospitals across the state with 193 in intensive care.
Winnebago County reported 30 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday. Fond du Lac County adjusted its total case numbers yesterday reporting 6 less than previously stated. Dodge County reported 8 new cases, Green Lake County 6 new cases, and Marquette County had 8 new cases. Waupaca County recorded 30 new cases and the Waushara County Health Department says 1 more person tested positive for COVID.
