Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reported 2,790 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday or 42 percent of the 6,636 recent test results it got back. That was higher than the last few days. So too were the 49 deaths reported, which brings the cumulative total for the state to 5,211 deaths. The state also reported 149 new hospitalizations. Meanwhile for the second time in the last three days the Wisconsin Hospital Association says the total number of hospitalizations due to the coronavirus dipped below 1,000 to 988 with 225 of those patients in intensive care.
Winnebago County reported 36 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and 4 more deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 33 new cases and Dodge County had 29 new cases. Two new cases were reported in Green Lake County and Marquette County had 5 new cases. Waupaca County had 14 new cases and the Waushara County Health Department reported 11 new cases and 3 more deaths.
