Apartment Building Fire In Beaver Dam

29 January 2021 News

Tenants of a 16-unit 2-story apartment building in Beaver Dam were evacuated because of a fire in the complex last night. When Fire Chief Alan Mannel arrived at 108 Lakecrest Drive flames were coming out of a second-story window. Eight other fire departments responded after a call for mutual aid. The bulk of the fire was contained to apartment 202, but there was smoke damage throughout the building. The building is partially uninhabitable and 15 families were affected by the blaze. The American Red Cross was seeing to their needs. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is being determined. The time of the fire call was 6:20 pm Thursday evening.
