Micah Potter scored 14 points, Tyler Wahl had 11 points and 15 rebounds, and No. 4 Wisconsin breezed to an 82-42 victory over Green Bay on Tuesday in Phoenix coach Will Ryan’s return to Madison. Ryan is the son of former Badgers head coach Bo Ryan. Will Ryan and current Badgers coach Greg Gard worked together on Bo Ryan’s Wisconsin staff from 2002-07. Bo Ryan coached Wisconsin from 2001-15 and posted a 364-130 record, making him the program’s career wins leader. There were no spectators Tuesday due to COVID-19 safety protocols, and Bo Ryan was expected to watch the game from his home in La Quinta, California. Aleem Ford and Nate Reuvers each scored 13 points for the Badgers (3-0), and Brad Davison added 10 points. Josh Jefferson led Green Bay (0-2) with 12 points. Wisconsin won its 11th straight, including its final eight games of the 2019-20 season to earn a share of the Big Ten title. The Badgers opened this season by defeating Eastern Illinois and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Green Bay took a 4-2 lead but didn’t score again for over eight minutes. The Phoenix missed 13 straight shots as Wisconsin went on an 11-0 run to pull ahead for good. Wisconsin’s own struggles on offense kept the game close for a while. The Badgers led 13-8 nearly 13 minutes into the game. Once the Badgers finally started to heat up, they wasted no time putting the game out of reach. Green Bay hosts Eastern Illinois in its home opener Saturday. Wisconsin visits Marquette on Friday.
Rondell Walker scored 16 points, Cade Cunningham had 15 points and six rebounds, and Oklahoma State used a strong second-half to beat Marquette 70-62 on Tuesday night. The freshmen duo of Walker and Cunningham connected on a game-changing sequence late in the second half. A Cunningham steal led to Walker’s fast-break layup with 4:16 remaining, and a flagrant-1 foul was called on a trailing Jamal Cain. Walker made the free throws for a four-point possession and a 61-49 lead. Marquette had just 16 points through the first 16 minutes of the second half. The Golden Eagles’ fifth basket after halftime came with one minute to go, getting within 63-56. But Walker and Cunningham combined to make four straight free throws in the final 25 seconds to seal it. Bryce Williams added 13 points for Oklahoma State (3-0). Cunningham, the lone freshman selected to the Associated Press preseason All-America team, was 6 of 11 from the field with three steals. Koby McEwen led Marquette (2-1) with 21 points and Cain had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Dawson Garcia, a 6-foot-11 freshman who entered averaging 17.5 points after two games, scored just four points on 2-of-9 shooting.

Green Bay i(8-3) s coming off a 41-25 victory over the Bears Sunday, in which they dominated over their Northern Division rivals. Philadelphia (3-7-1) is coming off a 23-17 loss to the visiting Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.
Meanwhile, the Packers signed WR Tavon Austin and released WR Darrius Shepherd. The transactions were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
(TAY-von) Austin (5-8, 180) was originally selected in the first round (No. 8 overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of West Virginia University by the St. Louis Rams. He has spent time in his career with the Rams (2013-17), Dallas Cowboys (2018-19) and San Francisco 49ers (2020), appearing in 96 regular-season games with 50 starts. Austin has 215 receptions for 2,006 yards (9.3 avg.) with 15 touchdowns and 1,340 rushing yards on 196 carries (6.8 avg.) with 10 TDs. As a returner, he registered 1,498 yards on 185 punt returns (8.1 avg.) with three TDs and 451 yards on 25 kickoff returns (18.0 avg.). Dating back to 2013, Austin is tied for No. 4 in the NFL in punt return TDs (three), and was one of only two players in the NFL to post a punt return TD each season from 2013-15 (Steelers WR Antonio Brown). He has also appeared in three postseason contests with two starts. Austin will wear No. 16 for the Packers.
Week 12 of the NFL finally ends this afternoon as Baltimore plays at Pittsburgh in an NFC matchup.. The game was originally postponed from last Thursday to Sunday and then Tuesday because of COVID related reasons. The Ravens arrived in Pittsburgh Tuesday but reported two more positive COVID-19 tests before departing. Sources told ESPN the positive tests belong to Ravens safety Geno Stone, a rookie seventh-round pick who has played two games this season, and an equipment manager. The Steelers (10-0) are leading the division while the Ravens are in third place at 6-4. The game starts at 2:40 CDT and will televised on NBC.
