Business As Usual
Fond du Lac County and the City of Fond du Lac have been able to keep their offices open during the pandemic. County Executive Al Buechel says they felt they could protect their employees and the public while still conducting everyday business. “You know are offices are open all the way through this and part of what we felt is if we gave people a couple of weeks off and the virus wasn’t any better after two to three weeks and you wanted to bring employees back it’s going to be very difficult to bring them back and we felt we just would try and do what we could to protect them here.” He says they are using masks, plexiglass, social distancing, hand sanitizer and other means recommended for protection from COVID-19. They even purchased an ultra-violet device that they can use to go through a room to kill viruses.
