Wisconsin saw more than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases for a second straight day Wednesday. Department of Health Services officials say 2,755 people or 37.4 percent of the 7,362 recently tested were positive for the coronavirus. Thirty-five more deaths were also reported bringing the cumulative death toll to 4,818 people. As for hospitalizations 126 more people were hospitalized with the virus. Currently 1,074 people are hospitalized with COVID and of that 244 patients are in ICU.
Winnebago County reported 57 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday moving it past 15,000 total cases with 15,042. Fond du Lac County recorded 43 new cases and Dodge County had 47 new cases. Two new cases were reported in Green Lake County and four in Marquette County. Waupaca County reported no new cases according to its dashboard. The Waushara County Health Department recorded four new cases and three more deaths.
