All 72 of Wisconsin’s counties had new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday as the state’s Department of Health Services reported 2,402 new cases. That was 26 percent of the 9,251 tests that were completed. Wisconsin has identified fewer than 3,000 new cases three of the last four days. The news wasn’t as rosy about people who died from the coronavirus with 74 more deaths bringing the death toll in the state to 4,196. As for hospitalizations there were 146 new patients. The 1,410 people that are currently hospitalized are the fewest in hospitals at one time since October 27th. Of those patients 314 are in ICU.
Winnebago County reported 24 new COVID-19 cases and one more death Wednesday. Fond du Lac County recorded 57 new cases and 1 new death. Dodge County had 27 new cases. Green Lake County reported 2 new cases and 1 new death and Marquette County had 4 new cases. Waupaca County yesterday had 10 new cases and 1 new death. The Waushara County Health Department says 7 more people in the county tested positive for the coronavirus.
