Wisconsin passed another milestone Wednesday with 82 more deaths from COVID-19 pushing it past 3,500 deaths since the pandemic began. The coronavirus has claimed 3,502 lives since early February. As for new cases 3,777 of the 9,983 test results that came back yesterday tested positive for the virus. The seven-day average for new cases declined to 3,664, but five of the past seven days the state had fewer than 10,000 test results. Wisconsin also saw 197 new hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 1,780 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 and of that 397 are patients in ICU.

Winnebago County reported 89 new COVID-19 cases and 1 new death Wednesday to put its total cases at 13,285 and its death toll at 117 people. Fond du Lac County saw a spike in cases with 154 new cases and 6 new deaths to give it 8,639 total cases and 52 deaths. Dodge County recorded 49 new cases, which means it has had 8,457 total cases and 74 deaths. Seven new cases were reported in Green Lake County putting its total cases at 1,192 with 6 deaths. Four new cases in Marquette County give it 1,032 total cases with 15 deaths. Waupaca County reported 28 new COVID cases and 1 new death and that gives it 3,811 total cases and 126 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department posted 3 new cases and has had 1,758 total cases and 10 deaths since the health crisis began.
