COVID 19 Report Thursday

The state’s Department of Health Services got more than 10,000 COVID-19 test results back Thursday. It was the first time in four days the state got that amount back. Of the 10,938 results 3,643 people tested positive or 33 percent of those tested. Seventy-one of the state’s 72 counties reported new cases. Meanwhile for the first time in 53 days the number of patients in ICU fell below 300. State health officials say there were 129 new hospitalizations and the number of total hospitalizations currently sits at 1,363 with 298 in ICU. There were also 59 more deaths bringing the death toll since the first deaths in March to 4,255 people.

Winnebago County reported 75 new COVID-19 cases and 5 more deaths Thursday. Fond du Lac County recorded 102 new cases and Dodge County had 39 new cases. Eleven new cases were reported in Green Lake County and Marquette County had 2 new cases and 1 more death.  Waupaca County experienced 19 new cases and the Waushara County Health Department reported 1 new COVID case.
