The state dipped below 3,000 new COVID-19 cases Sunday for the first time since November 27th. The 2,757 new cases were 22.6 percent of the 12,175 new test results reported yesterday. New cases were reported in 69 of the state’s 72 counties. Fifteen deaths were also reported putting the death toll since the pandemic began in the state at 4,056 people. The state crossed the 4,000 death threshold on Saturday. State health officials also reported 87 new hospitalizations due to the coronavirus with 1,425 current COVID patients and 318 of them in ICU.

Winnebago County had 48 new COVID-19 cases Sunday to give it a total of 14,231 cases with 137 deaths. Fond du Lac County entered the weekend with 9,454 total cases and 57 deaths. Dodge County began the weekend with 9,504 total cases and 87 deaths. Twelve new cases were reported in Green Lake County, which has had 1,287 total cases and 9 deaths. Five new cases in Marquette County give it 1,100 total cases with 15 deaths. Waupaca County started the weekend with 3,976 total cases and 129 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department went into the weekend with 1,810 total cases and 13 deaths since the health crisis began.
