The state’s Department of Health Services Monday reported 2,155 new COVID-19 cases or 27.2 percent of the 7,906 total test results that came back. It’s the second time in two days the positivity rate was below 30 percent and the first time the state has had as few new cases in a day since early October. But 68 of the state’s 72 counties did report new cases.  Nineteen more deaths were also reported putting the death toll since the pandemic began in the state at 3,738 people. Seventy more people were hospitalized with the coronavirus with 1,566 current hospitalizations and 326 of those patients in ICU.

Winnebago County Monday reported 56 new COVID-19 cases giving it 13,744 total cases with 127 deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 220 new cases since last Friday and two additional deaths to give it 9,163 totals cases with 54 deaths. Dodge County reported 315 new cases since last Friday, which puts its total cases at 9,076 with 83 deaths. Four new cases in Green Lake County put its totals cases at 1,232 with 7 deaths.  There were also four new cases in Marquette County, which has reported 1,075 total cases and 15 deaths.  Waupaca County recorded 13 new cases to push its total cases to 3,893 with 127 deaths.  The Waushara County Health Department has had 5 new COVID cases since last Friday and two additional deaths, which give it a total of 1,786 cases and 12 deaths since the health crisis began.
