Wisconsin Department of Health Services officials reported 82 more deaths from COVID-19 Thursday, the second most in a single day. Ninety-two deaths were reported Tuesday. The death toll now stands at 2,876, an increase of 351 were reported this week. The state also reported 6,635 new cases yesterday or nearly 40 percent of 19,220 test results that came back. Another 236 people were hospitalized from the virus. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 2,104 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID and of that 427 patients are in intensive care.

Winnebago County Thursday reported 131 new COVID-19 cases, which gives it 12,229 total cases and 98 deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 76 new cases and 1 new death, which pushes its total cases to 7,695 and its death toll to 35 people. Dodge County saw another spike in its cases with 275 new cases and has had 7,377 totals cases with 65 deaths. Seven new cases were recorded in Green Lake County, which means it has had 1,086 total cases and 5 deaths. Seven new cases were also reported in Marquette County and it has had 970 totals cases and 7 deaths. Waupaca County had 28 new cases Thursday to put its total cases at 3,538 with 107 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department recorded 17 new COVID cases yesterday and it has had 1,653 totals cases and 7 deaths since the health crisis started.
