Saturday the State of Wisconsin crossed another threshold surpassing 3,000 deaths from COVID-19 and a day later there were no new deaths reported. Since the first case in early February 3,005 state residents have died of the coronavirus. Sunday saw 3,507 new cases or 23.5 percent of the 14,899 test results that came back. It was the fourth day in a row Wisconsin saw a decline in new cases. Eighty-nine people were hospitalized with COVID yesterday with 1,988 total hospitalizations and 428 patients in ICU. The number of new hospitalizations was the lowest since 84 people were hospitalized on October 26th.
Winnebago County had 90 new COVID-19 cases Sunday giving it a total of 12,511 cases with 101 deaths. Fond du Lac County entered the weekend with 7,787 total cases and 33 deaths. Dodge County reported 55 new cases to give it 7,697 total cases with 66 deaths. Eleven new cases were reported in Green Lake County, which has 1,121 totals cases and 5 deaths. Two new cases were recorded in Marquette County, which has 994 total cases with 12 deaths. Waupaca County started the weekend with 3,577 total cases and 112 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department reported 6 new cases Sunday to push its total cases to 1,679 totals cases with 7 deaths since the pandemic began.
