Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services says 25.1 percent of the 12,291 test results that came back Monday or 3,091 people tested positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile the 7-day average for new cases decreased to 5,859 the first time the state’s 7-day average has dipped below 6,000 new cases since November 11th. Six new deaths were also reported yesterday putting the death toll at 3,011 persons. State health officials also say there were 107 new hospitalizations putting the current total at 1,999 with 438 patients in intensive care.
Winnebago County reported 49 new COVID-19 cases Monday to raise the number of total cases it has had to 12,560 with 101 deaths. Fond du Lac County has recorded 176 new cases and 3 additional deaths since last Friday to give it 7,963 total cases with 39 deaths. Dodge County has reported 319 new cases since last Friday moving its total cases up to 7,767 with 66 deaths. Twelve new cases in Green Lake County put its total cases at 1,133 with 5 deaths. Two more cases were reported in Marquette County which inches closer to 1,000 total cases with 996 and 12 deaths. Waupaca County recorded 22 new cases to push its total cases to 3,599 with 112 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department has had 26 new COVID cases since last Friday and has had 1,691 total cases and 7 deaths during the pandemic.
