Wisconsin reported 27 more deaths from COVID-19 Wednesday bringing the death toll since the pandemic began in the state to 1,327 people. Deaths were reported in 20 of the state’s 72 counties. Meanwhile about 20 percent or 2,319 of the 11,792 test results that came back tested positive for the coronavirus. A total of 122,274 people have been infected by the virus. The state has 21,004 active cases.
Winnebago County Wednesday reported 1 new death and 77 new COVID-19 cases increasing its totals to 28 deaths and 4,134 cases. Seventy-two new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County giving it 2,236 total cases and 14 deaths. Dodge County had 28 new cases putting its total cases at 1,959 cases with 17 deaths. Green Lake County surpassed 300 cases yesterday with 8 new cases giving it 304 cases. Marquette County also passed that threshold with 23 new cases putting its total cases at 304, but it also had 1 new death giving it 2 deaths from the virus. Waupaca County reported 60 new cases and 1 new death, which gives it 1,194 total cases and 21 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department reported 17 new cases and 1 new death which puts its total cases at 408 and 3 deaths since the health crisis began.
