Wisconsin set three daily records for COVID-19 Tuesday; 3,279 new cases, 34 deaths, and 147 hospitalizations. The new daily records for the state came with 14,541 test returns coming back and of those 22.5 percent tested positive. Seventy of the state’s 72 counties had new cases. Since early February 155,471 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, it has claimed 1,508 lives, and 959 people are currently hospitalized with 243 patients in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 197 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, which gives the county 6,497 total cases with 45 deaths. Fifty-four new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County putting its total cases at 3,108 and it also had two new deaths raising that toll to 17 persons. Fifty-nine new cases were reported in Dodge County yesterday giving it 2,680 total cases with 19 deaths. Green Lake County had 20 new cases increasing its total cases to 499 with 2 deaths. Nineteen new cases were reported in Marquette County giving it 436 cases and 2 deaths. Forty-six new COVID cases were reported in Waupaca County, which has had 1,770 total cases and 26 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department recorded 16 new cases which give it 639 total cases and 3 deaths since the health crisis began.
