Wisconsin set another daily record for the number of COVID-19 test results to come back positive for the virus with 2,887 or just over 20 percent of the 14,361 results that came back to the state Thursday. That topped the previous state record set last Saturday by 70 cases. Twenty-one new deaths were also reported increasing that toll since the pandemic began to 1,348 people. For the past 7 days Wisconsin has averaged 2,405 new cases a day. Meanwhile the Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 669 COVID patients are hospitalized with 208 in intensive care.

Winnebago County Health Department officials reported four new deaths due to COVID-19 Thursday and 183 new cases.  That gives the county 4,317 total cases and 32 deaths. Ninety-five new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County, which now has a total of 2,331 cases and 14 deaths. Forty-four new cases were recorded in Dodge County, which moved past 2,000 totals cases with 2,003 and 17 deaths. Green Lake County had 19 new cases giving it 323 total cases.  State health officials revised the number of deaths in Marquette County taking one from the total. Marquette County has had 1 COVID death and 309 total cases.  Waupaca County reported 56 new cases yesterday putting its totals at 1,250 cases and 21 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department recorded 17 new coronavirus cases Thursday, which gives it 425 total cases and 3 deaths since the health crisis began.
