For the first time in five days Wisconsin reported fewer than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases Sunday. The 1,865 new cases that were reported were 17.2 percent of 10,815 test results that came back. The state has still averaged 2,400 cases a day over the past seven days. Five new deaths were also reported bringing that toll since the pandemic began to 1,377 people. The state’s Department of Health Services also reported that the 134 hospitals across the state have 714 COVID patients and 194 of those are in intensive care.
Winnebago County reported 184 new COVID-19 cases Sunday bringing its total cases to 4,890 with 34 deaths. Fond du Lac County has reported 2,455 total cases and 14 deaths. Forty-one new cases were reported in Dodge County, which has had 2,178 cases and 19 deaths. Five new cases were recorded in Green Lake County, which has had 353 total cases. Twelve new cases in Marquette County give it 342 total cases with 1 death. Sunday Waupaca County’s total coronavirus cases stood at 1,320 with 21 cases. Waushara County reported nine new cases giving it 448 total cases and 3 deaths since the health crisis began.
