Campbellsport Man Sentenced For Attempted Murder

The 35-year-old Campbellsport man that tried to stab his fiancée to death as they were driving home from some bars in March of 2019 has been sentenced to 22 years in prison and 20 years of extended supervision James Allen was sentenced Friday in Fond du Lac County court on an attempted first degree intentional homicide charge. According to the criminal complaint Allen stabbed the victim Michele Fleischman, the mother of his son, in the neck three times. She was driving down the road at 55 miles an hour during part of the attack, but managed to get him out of the car and drive home. District Attorney Eric Toney says, “This attack is a frightening reminderi of the severity of domestic violence and we are thankful the victim was able to survive this vicious attack.”
