Assembly Candidate Disagrees With Governor’s Position On Limiting Capacity
15 October 2020 News
Forty-first Assembly District candidate Alex Dallman feels Governor Tony Evers overstepped his authority by issuing an order limiting capacity in bars, restaurants and other businesses. The one-time chairman of the Green Lake County Republican Party feels that type of decision regarding the pandemic should be handled by local officials. “I believe that it should be handled more by the local municipalities on where the outbreaks are occurring and where we can handle it from there. I do believe that the capacity limits will hurt businesses if they are enforced overall and we can’t afford to have any more businesses go out of business.” Dallman says state revenues will be down due to the COVID-19 outbreak so the next state budget will be tougher than ever to come up with. Dallman is one of three candidates for the Assembly seat currently held by Joan Ballweg who is running for the State Senate.
