Wisconsin saw another 1,762 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and 8 more deaths. The percentage of new cases was down slightly from the previous day as 13.1 percent of the 13,453 tests results came back positive for the virus. Only 3 of the state’s 72 counties did not have new cases. The 8 new deaths brought the toll since the pandemic began in Wisconsin to 1,259 persons. The state has had a total of 105,932 cases with 88,131 recovered cases and 14,770 cases still active.
For the first time in three days Winnebago County saw less than 100 new cases of COVID-19, but still reported 44 new cases Wednesday bringing its total cases to 2,988 with 23 deaths. Fond du Lac County had 43 new cases giving it 1,841 total cases and 13 deaths. Twenty-seven new cases were reported in Dodge County, which gives it 1,677 cases and 4 new deaths brings that total to 14. Three new cases were reported in Green Lake County giving it 215 total cases. With five new cases Marquette County has 207 total cases and 1 death. Nineteen new cases were reported in Waupaca County, which now has 970 total cases and 20 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department recorded 14 new cases putting its total cases at 307 with 2 deaths since the health crisis began.
