The United State reached a grim milestone in the pandemic yesterday with over 200,000 deaths due to COVID-19 and is approaching 7 million total cases. Meanwhile Wisconsin has had 104,170 cases with 1,672 new cases Tuesday. The new cases were 13.3 percent of the 12,537 test results that came back. Sixty-eight of the state’s 72 counties reported new cases. There were also seven more deaths bringing that toll since the pandemic began in Wisconsin to 1,251 people.
Winnebago County for the second straight day topped 100 new coronavirus cases with 122 new cases Tuesday putting its total cases at 2,944 with 23 deaths. Thirty-two new cases were reported in Fond du Lac County giving it 1,798 cases with 13 deaths. The total number of cases in Dodge County reached 1,653 yesterday with 10 deaths. Thirteen more cases in Green Lake County give it 212 total cases. Marquette County also surpassed 200 total cases with seven new cases Tuesday giving it 202 COVID-19 cases and 1 death. Waupaca County reported nine new cases putting its total cases at 951 with 19 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department recorded four new cases giving it 293 total COVID cases and 2 deaths since the health crisis began.
